
Jesus in the Bible
The story of Jesus in the Bible, is the story of man’s relationship to God. It is about how man turned away from God, breaking His Law, causing a split in that relationship. It is the story of God’s actions to redeem mankind and reconcile man to Himself.
The Bible tells us how God sent His only son, Jesus, to pay the ransom for sin through His death, burial and resurrection. The Old Testament prophets told of His coming, The New Testament chronicles the major points in His earthy life and we have selected a few of them to share. Understanding the the Lord Jesus brings out the richness and significance of the text.
The main episodes of Jesus’ life on earth are listed below. Reviewing them will explain who Jesus is, and why His birth on earth, death and resurrection are the most consequential events in human history.
The life of Jesus

His Birth

To understand the meaning of the Bible, it is important to appreciate that the Bible is first and foremost the story of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells the story of the relationship between man and God, how man sinned and broke that relationship. Jesus came to redeem man and usher in the eternal Kingdom of God.
The Bible gives us context, explanation and insight into the nature and character of God, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is simply the most remarkable book ever written.
